During this promo, Sami Zayn made an interesting statement. He said that the Undisputed WWE Championship is still “in the family” as far as he is concerned, and it will remain on his shoulder. This was after Jey revealed that he needed to bring the title back to The Bloodline.
Given this, there have been several speculations among the wrestling community that it may be Triple H’s way of subtly teasing that Sami Zayn could eventually reunite with The Bloodline. Over the past weeks, Roman Reigns has been making efforts to have Solo Sikoa come back to the faction. While Solo keeps rejecting the offer, fans could see Sami reunite with Reigns and his crew.
Sami’s “Honorary Uce” storyline remains one of the greatest character arcs the company has ever produced. Although he eventually turned against Roman Reigns, his bond with Jey Uso was always genuine. That chemistry was evident once again on SmackDown.
Before the conversation shifted toward the championship, Jey embraced Sami. Hence, showing there was still mutual respect between them despite everything that had happened over the last few years. It wasn’t the interaction of two bitter rivals; it felt like old allies crossing paths again.
WWE didn’t have to include that moment, but it did. Combined with Sami’s reference to “the family,” it naturally reignited speculation that Sami’s history with The Bloodline isn’t over. Thus, it seems fans could see The Underdog from the Underground back to Roman’s faction sooner than expected.
However, while this angle may seem far-fetched, it’s not entirely impossible. Only time will tell if Sami reunites with The Bloodline.
Sami Zayn potentially joining The Bloodline makes sense heading into WWE SummerSlam
Cody Rhodes emerged as Sami Zayn’s first challenger after he defeated Jey Uso in the night’s main event to become the No. 1 contender on SmackDown. The title match is slated for next week’s RAW.
Given this, The Bloodline could make a move by helping the champion retain his title. To repay the favor, The Underdog from the Underground would join the faction.
If that happens, a reunion wouldn’t necessarily mean Sami becomes Roman Reigns’ follower again. Instead, the creative team could tell a much different story. Perhaps one built on respect rather than manipulation.
The OTC could acknowledge Zayn as an equal after watching him accomplish what once seemed impossible: winning the Undisputed WWE Championship on his own. If that happens, it would give The Bloodline a fresh dynamic.
Although many fans continue to expect Solo Sikoa to eventually return to the faction, the latest SmackDown suggests WWE could be heading in another direction. Perhaps Solo may eventually join afterward.
However, if the company is indeed planting long-term seeds, Sami Zayn may be the next superstar to find his way back into The Bloodline’s story. This time as a world champion rather than the Honorary Uce.
That said, this angle is still speculative.
