WWE legend Charles Wright, popularly known as The Godfather or Papa Shango, was involved in a scary accident recently. During the latest edition of RAW, Xavier Woods paid homage to the veteran.
The Godfather revealed on his official Facebook page that he was involved in a car accident, as his blue Dodge Ram truck was completely wrecked. Fortunately, he was able to escape without a scratch.
On RAW tonight, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston addressed the WWE Universe and spoke about the current state of the tag team division. They also confirmed they would be defending the World Tag Team Championships. One of the main talking points from the segment was Woods’ choice of attire, as commentator Michael Cole quickly noted that the 38-year-old was paying homage to The Godfather.

Woods and Kingston turned heel after refusing to reunite with Big E and abandoning him during the New Day’s 10th anniversary celebration. Later, the newly turned heel duo defeated The War Raiders at WrestleMania 41 to win the titles.
Their latest title defense was in a Triple Threat contest, which took place on May 26 against The War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) and American Made (Brutus Creed & Julius Creed).
