Green tried to humiliate the former WWE Women’s Champion early on by slapping her across the face right after the opening bell. The plan backfired instantly. Cargill caught Green off a crossbody attempt on the outside and planted her with a heavy fallaway slam on the floor. Despite Chelsea finding brief offense by sending Cargill into the ring post and hitting a top-rope dropkick, she could not sustain the advantage.

The Storm then blocked Green’s Unprettier, leveled her with a vicious pump kick, and hit the Jaded for a dominant pinfall victory.

The humiliation did not stop there, as after the match, Jade Cargill continued to attack Chelsea Green, forcing Tiffany Stratton and Alexa Bliss to come out for the save, making Cargill retreat.

The Storm’s allies, B-Fab and Michin, then hit the ring, and the numbers game caught up to The Buff Barbie. Cargill dropped Tiffany with Jaded and stood tall, leaving the champion neutralized before their title clash at Night of Champions.

With momentum firmly on her side after defeating Green and getting the better of Stratton in the closing moments of WWE SmackDown, The Storm heads into Night of Champions looking every bit like a legitimate threat to end The Buff Barbie’s reign.
