Nic Nemeth, formerly known as Dolph Ziggler in WWE, believes neither CM Punk nor Jey Uso needs to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Punk and Jey will cross paths at the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event XLI event. The match was made official after Seth Rollins was forced to relinquish the title due to injury.
Speaking on the Busted Open podcast, Nemeth explained why he believes neither superstar needs the World Heavyweight Championship at this point.
“I don’t think either one of those guys are gonna have it. I don’t know. Punk doesn’t need it. Jey doesn’t need it. But to have it, cool. There’s nothing. It’s great. Friggin’ being world champion is one of the coolest damn things ever, no matter where you are or what you’ve done. Period. But to be so beloved by a crowd one way or another, to not need it, is the greatest attribute in pro wrestling history. That’s why I really wanted somebody else, only because they don’t need it. They’ve transcended being a world champ,” said Nemeth. [H/T: Wrestling Inc]
Adam Pearce must change CM Punk vs. Jey Uso into a Fatal Four-Way Match, thinks Bully Ray
Bully Ray wants Adam Pearce to make major changes to the CM Punk vs. Jey Uso match. He believes that the match should be changed into a Fatal Four-Way, including Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker.
Speaking on the same episode, he said:
“Jey Uso winning, I would look as nothing more than a placeholder right now. What I think I’d like to see coming out of this match, at the bare minimum, is the no finish, the involvement from The Vision, and Pearce being forced to book a four-way for the main event,”
Jey will look forward to winning the World Heavyweight Championship for the second time in his career. Meanwhile, Punk would aim to win the title for the second time since returning to WWE.
