Speaking after Manchester City’s win over Wolverhampton Wanderers, Pep Guardiola told the media that he didn’t know what Oscar Bobb’s next move would be. Speaking on Oscar Bobb situation, in quotes relayed by Hayters TV, Pep Guardiola said: “I don’t know yet, I know there are rumours, I know he is talking, but I don’t know right now.”

When asked directly if Bobb wants to leave City, Guardiola replied: “I think so.”
Hopefully Oscar Bobb can find a move that allows him to shine as a player.
There is no doubt that Oscar Bobb has the talent and potential to become a fine player, whether that is at Manchester City or elsewhere. Bobb’s game has always seemed ideally suited to playing in a Pep Guardiola side. Unfortunately, this season has been a battle for him. Bobb started the season well, but as it has progressed, he has fallen down the pecking order at City. With the arrival of Antoine Semenyo, it now seems that Bobb’s future lies away from the Etihad. Also, you do feel that the fractured leg that Bobb suffered on the eve of the 24/25 season came at the worst possible time. He seemed poised to break out as a player, but injury held him back.

The hope for Oscar Bobb is that he can find a club that can give him the opportunity to grow and a key player. At 22 years of age, Bobb needs that. He has all of the necessary talent to become an exceptional player. Wherever he goes this month, if a move does eventuate, hopefully the young winger can shine. It just remains to be seen if Bobb will find a January move but Pep Guardiola’s comments suggest that the path is there for Bobb to leave Manchester City this month.
