A post on X by On This Day in WWE reflected on the moment by sharing a clip from the episode of RAW to mark the occasion. In the video, Heyman says chaos creates opportunity, while JR is clearly not happy with the former ECW owner by his side.

Paul Heyman responded to the video and shared an anecdote from that night. Heyman then mentioned the first people he commented on that night were Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. He revealed that Stephanie hated Heyman calling her the “Billion Dollar Princess.”

“First people I commented on? @TripleH and @StephMcMahon . Funny note – Steph HATED me called her the Billion Dollar Princess. Absolutely despised the moniker. But rest assured, she got even with me for it! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣” he wrote.

The Wiseman moved to WWE after ECW had shut down. During the Ruthless Aggression Era, Heyman became a much more prominent voice backstage and was part of the writing team headed by Stephanie.

Paul Heyman was asked to challenge Stephanie McMahon backstage

During an appearance on What’s Your Story? With Steph McMahon, Paul Heyman talked about how he had to adjust to his new role in WWE after being the one used to calling shots in ECW.

He then recalled that Vince McMahon used this to his advantage and put him up against Stephanie to challenge her.

The veteran manager revealed that Vince told him to be the “disrupter” in the writers’ room headed by Stephanie and not to make things easier for her.
