The match between Sport and Botafogo fell victim to a bizarre interference this Sunday (20).
During an attack by Glorioso, the irrigation system at the Ilha do Retiro stadium was activated.
The players continued to battle for the ball while the pitch was being watered.
The match was only stopped moments later, once the situation was brought under control by Sport’s defense.
The irrigation system was turned off shortly after and the match was quickly restarted.
