Sane returned to WWE in 2023, having left the promotion when her contract expired in 2021. But following WrestleMania this year, she was released by the sports entertainment giant.

Now, after officially becoming a free agent, the Pirate Princess has teased her next move. In a post on X, she dropped a short message, telling her fans that she would see them soon.

“How Far I’ll Go… See you soon,❤️” she wrote.

She last competed in the ring on the RAW after WrestleMania 42. She teamed up with Asuka to take on Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY but ended up on the losing side.

Following her departure, it was reported that she was interested in a return to Japan, and this was the reason behind her release. She previously competed in New Japan Pro Wrestling between 2022 and 2023.

Kairi Sane had a successful second stint in WWE

Kairi Sane’s first stint in WWE saw her win the NXT Women’s championship. After being called up to the main roster, she won the women’s tag team title with Asuka.

Following her return to the company in 2023, she became a part of Damage CTRL and began featuring in prominent storylines. She won the women’s tag team championship for a second time.

She also competed at WrestleMania XL, teaming up with Asuka and Dakota Kai. However, they ended up losing to Naomi, Jade Cargill, and Bianca Belair.

A Kabuki Warriors reunion saw her capture the women’s tag team championship for a third time last year after they defeated Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss last year in November on an episode of RAW.

She was involved in a storyline with the Empress of Tomorrow before her abrupt WWE release. Now, it remains to be seen what is next for the 37-year-old star.
