Sami Zayn could become El Generico to face CM Punk at Worlds Collide

WWE is set to host the Worlds Collide event in Chicago on September 26th in the Allstate Arena. The show will go head-to-head with AEW All Out which is taking place at the NOW Arena on the same date in Chicago. WWE has already announced CM Punk to appear on the event.

However, the company could have another surprise up their sleeves. In the promotional video for Worlds Collide, Punk was wearing the luchador mask he used to wear as a member of the Straight Edge Society, hinting towards the return of the gimmick for the event. If Punk is going to be a Luchador at Worlds Collide, Sami could do the same. Zayn used to have a Luchador gimmick called “El Generico” before he came to WWE. He could bring it back to face Punk in a title rematch in Chicago.

It would be exciting to see Sami Zayn bring back his El Generico character.
