#5. Cody Rhodes will defend his title at WWE Clash in Italy 2026

Cody Rhodes successfully walked out of WrestleMania 42 in Nevada as the Undisputed WWE Champion. While Randy Orton made a statement after the match, The Viper hasn’t appeared on the weekly product, and Gunther showed up on Friday Night SmackDown and attacked The American Nightmare.

On the recent edition of WWE SmackDown, Gunther faced Royce Keys in a one-on-one match to determine Cody Rhodes’ next challenger for the Undisputed WWE Championship. In the match’s final moments, Solo Sikoa appeared and tried to assist Keys with a steel chair.

Instead, the former AEW star attacked The Street Champion, which allowed The Ring General to take advantage and win the match. Later, it became official that Cody Rhodes will defend his title at Clash in Italy at the end of the month against Gunther.

#4. Why is CM Punk not on WWE television?

Last month, CM Punk lost the World Heavyweight Championship to Roman Reigns at The Grandest Stage of Them All in Nevada and quickly shifted his focus to Cody Rhodes. The Second City Saint shared the ring with The American Nightmare and teased coming after his title on Monday Night RAW.

However, the 47-year-old star was not seen on the weekly program following his encounter with Cody Rhodes. Moreover, CM Punk was not backstage for Backlash in Florida, and the audience began to wonder why The Straight Edge Superstar hadn’t been on television.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (WON), CM Punk was pulled out of a handful of dates in the coming weeks due to a scheduling change. Initially, Punk was supposed to be on the European tour, but those plans have been changed, and the multi-time World Champion might return in July ahead of SummerSlam.

#3. Paige suffers a wardrobe mishap on WWE SmackDown

Last year, Paige became a free agent in the industry following her stint in All Elite Wrestling. The Anti-Diva stepped out of retirement and proved any naysayers wrong when she captured the AEW Women’s World Championship. After her run as a performer in Tony Khan’s promotion, she took a break from wrestling until recently.

Last month, Paige returned to the Stamford-based promotion and joined The Bella Twins at WrestleMania 42. She and Brie Bella won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship in a Fatal 4-Way tag team match. As new challengers are lining up, the former Divas Champion suffered a wardrobe mishap on Friday Night SmackDown.

Recently, Paige and Brie Bella faced Giulia and Kiana James. Throughout the match, The Anti-Diva struggled to adjust her wardrobe, and the problem worsened when her hair became entangled with Giulia’s gear in the ring. The issue became noticeable when she was thrown out of the ring, and the camera was panned away from her. This allowed her to resolve the issue and eventually finish the match.

#2. Rhea Ripley was not on WWE SmackDown

Earlier this year, Rhea Ripley made a bold move in her career when she began appearing on Friday Night SmackDown. Mami had been on the red brand for years, ever since she arrived on the main roster, but The Eradicator made frequent appearances on the blue brand after winning the Women’s Elimination Chamber match.

She dethroned Jade Cargill as the WWE Women’s Champion at WrestleMania 42 and made Friday Night SmackDown her new home on the main roster. Last week, she was in a six-woman tag team match against The Fatal Influence and was attacked by Jade Cargill, Michin, and B-Fab after the match.

This week, Mami was not on television, and Jade Cargill’s crew crossed paths with Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss on the blue brand. While Ripley’s absence wasn’t explained, the 29-year-old SmackDown star should be back on television in no time.

#1. Otis suddenly kisses Izzi Dame on WWE Main Event

WWE still uses Main Event as a training ground for the superstars of tomorrow, where NXT stars share the ring with stars from the main roster. Recently, The Culling’s Niko Vance and Shawn Spears were in a tag team match against The Alpha Academy’s Otis and Tozawa.

During the match, Izzi Dame, Bron Breakker’s real-life girlfriend, tried to help Spears against Otis. However, Dozer suddenly stopped Dame’s attack and kissed her before pushing her into Vance on the outside. The Alpha Academy eventually won the match when Tozawa delivered a Diving Senton on Spears.

The kiss definitely took the audience by surprise, as Main Event usually doesn’t feature such acts. Moreover, the shocking spot was performed by both stars in character, and it looks like The Culling could soon be getting their main roster call-up if they get involved in a storyline.
