The event is set to return next weekend and will feature stars from the main roster, NXT and AAA. However, it seems like the event won’t get broadcasted live like their usual Premium Live Events or special shows. As per a recent report by PWInsider, the company could use the event to promote Club WWE, a membership program that they recently introduced. The report stated that the event will be taped and broadcasted only to the exclusive members of the Club.
There has not been any official confirmation from WWE’s side yet. However, the possibility of the event streaming exclusively for the Club members doesn’t seem very unlikely.
CM Punk has been advertised for WWE Worlds Collide
Chicago is the hometown of none other than CM Punk. He was reigning as the Undisputed Champion until last week’s SmackDown. The company has advertised him for the upcoming event in Chicago. AEW is also running their All Out pay-per-view on the same date in Chicago so Punk’s appearance would definitely help the Entertainment Juggernaut sell more tickets.
A recent report revealed that the company is planning to have CM Punk team up with Rey Mysterio and El Grande Americano against Dominik Mysterio, Omos and JD McDonagh on the show. Punk is also expected to wear his Lucha mask that he famously wore during his run as the leader of the Straight Edge Society.
It will be to see what CM Punk will do at Worlds Collide in his hometown of Chicago.
