That said, in this article, we look at three surprises we could see at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event XLIV.

#3. The Street Profits could finally split after Montez Ford turns heel

The rivalry between The Street Profits and The Vision has become one of the most chaotic stories on WWE RAW. Seth Rollins has repeatedly tried to take down the faction he once led, and tensions have continued to rise around the World Tag Team Championship picture.

At SNME XLIV, Logan Paul and Austin Theory will put their tag titles on the line against Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins. On paper, it looks like a straightforward title opportunity for the former champions. However, WWE may be preparing a much darker turn for the duo.

The biggest clue is Seth Rollins’ ongoing obsession with ruining The Vision’s momentum. In a shocking twist, Rollins might attempt to interfere in the match and get his revenge against the heels. However, he could accidentally cost The Street Profits instead. Hence, frustration could finally boil over. Montez Ford has spent years being viewed as having the breakout potential of a singles star. Also, WWE has teased his aggressive side several times in the past.

A post-match heel turn could instantly elevate Ford into a major singles run. The 35-year-old could snap after the loss, attacking Angelo Dawkins in the middle of the ring, and blaming the latter for holding him back all these years. The betrayal would shock fans because the duo has remained one of WWE’s most beloved teams despite every rumor of a split.

The timing also works well from a creative perspective. Many believe Monday Night RAW needs new singles heel characters as we head into the summer. If Montez Ford were to turn on Dawkins, it would create an emotional feud heading into the summer.

With Seth Rollins likely involved somewhere around the title picture, the possibility of accidental interference leading to a heartbreaking breakup feels very real.

#2. Nikki Bella could return from injury and betray Paige

The women’s tag team scene has quietly become one of the most unpredictable parts of WWE television. Paige and Brie Bella have managed to remain champions despite constant challenges. However, there has always been one huge question hanging over the storyline: what happens when Hall of Famer Nikki Bella finally returns?

At WrestleMania 42, Paige made a shocking return, replacing an injured Nikki. The former was tagged with Brie Bella, and they won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. While the pairing has worked surprisingly well, it’s likely that Brie’s heart is entirely devoted to her twin sister above anyone else.

That could explode at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Paige and Brie Bella will put their title on the line against Nia Jax and Lash Legend after recently surviving The Judgment Day’s challenge on RAW. The match itself could simply be a setup for Nikki Bella’s dramatic return.

Instead of helping Paige and Brie retain, Nikki could attack Paige and reveal that she never accepted being replaced. Brie aligning with her sister afterward would make the betrayal even more painful. Fans have seemingly embraced Paige’s comeback story. Hence, seeing her abandoned by Brie Bella would instantly create sympathy for the former Divas Champion. Also, it would finally bring back The Bella Twins as a heel act.

This storyline has great potential. Nikki and Brie could work together to dominate the women’s tag division, while Paige shifts into a singles babyface role. WWE also tends to favor emotional betrayals involving long-term friendships. Hence, this story has enough history behind it to make the betrayal feel significant and meaningful.

#1. Adam Pearce could make Becky Lynch vs. Sol Ruca for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship

One of the strangest stories heading into SNME XLIV has been Becky Lynch repeatedly dismissing Sol Ruca as unworthy of a championship opportunity. Earlier this week, Becky agreed to face the rising star. However, she insisted it would remain a non-title match because Sol had not earned a shot yet.

That alone feels suspicious. WWE has spent weeks building Sol Ruca as an underdog babyface trying to prove she belongs on the main roster. Despite her recent losses, the company clearly sees major potential in her athleticism and crowd connection. That opens the door for a massive surprise.

At SNME, Adam Pearce could appear moments before the match begins and announce that Becky Lynch will indeed defend the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship. If this happens, Lynch could lose her composure immediately, claiming Pearce is trying to embarrass her after she specifically denied Sol a title opportunity.

Then comes the real shocker. Sol Ruca could pull off the upset and win the championship in the biggest moment of her nascent main roster career.

It would perfectly fit WWE’s recent trend of creating sudden breakout stars. Sol already has one of the most visually spectacular finishers in wrestling with the Sol Snatcher, and the audience reaction to her first title victory would likely be enormous.

The move would also give RAW a fresh women’s champion ahead of Clash in Italy while pushing Becky Lynch deeper into her frustrated heel character. Becky losing because of a last-minute ruling from Adam Pearce could fuel weeks of complaints and meltdowns from The Man.

Most fans expect Becky to walk out victorious, which is exactly why a surprise title switch would feel so impactful. WWE has built Sol Ruca as the fearless newcomer who refuses to back down, and SNME XLIV could become the night she officially arrives as a top star.
