According to a recent report from WrestleVotes on Fightful Select, the moment has resulted in discussion backstage among personnel. The report also claimed that this was unscripted, and Oba Femi was acting on his own. Furthermore, it was noted that some did not like how the end of the segment came off.

Another WWE star wants to pick up a win against Oba Femi

Althought Je’Von Evans has come close to defeating Oba Femi in a singles match, he is yet to accomplish the difficult feat.

Speaking in an interview with WrestleRant, The Young OG noted that he was pursuing a singles victory over the rising WWE star. He said:

“That is true. I feel like that is a match that I do need because I just haven’t beaten him one-on-one, and I haven’t got the opportunity to run it back. Let’s be real, okay? A lot of people don’t know this, but there are only two people that have pinned Oba [Femi] longer than three seconds. Brock Lesnar and Je’Von Evans… It’s crazy to think about, you know, because everytime I pinned him, either the referee got involved or somebody got involved,” Evans said.

As of now, only time will tell if Je’Von Evans will succeed in his pursuit in WWE, by pinning one of the toughest names on the roster today.
