Seizing the momentum, Matt Hardy executed a Twist of Fate on Ryan, followed by a flying elbow drop through the table. However, as Matt went to pick up Ryan, Nic capitalized with a sudden Danger Zone to secure the pinfall. The crowd witnessed Nic and Ryan secure their second TNA World Tag Team Title, having previously dethroned The Hardys only at Rebellion in April 2025.

With the victory, Nic achieved a rare milestone, joining Kurt Angle (back in 2007) as the only men in company history to hold both the TNA World Championship and tag team titles simultaneously.

Leon Slater has his sights set on Nic Nemeth

On the same TNA Lockdown show, Leon Slater won back his TNA X-Division title as he defeated Cedric Alexander in a Last Man Standing match inside a steel cage. The stakes could not have been higher for the 21-year-old. Had he lost, his record-breaking 298-day first reign, which Alexander cut short on the May 14 edition of iMPACT, would have been completely erased from the company’s history books.

However, after reclaiming his title and preserving his legacy, Slater wasn’t finished. Later in the evening, after Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth captured the TNA World Tag Team Championship, Slater interrupted Nic’s celebration. Slater officially announced he was cashing in Option C, vacating the X-Division title to earn a TNA World Championship match against Nic Nemeth at Bound For Glory on Oct. 11.

TNA Executive Carlos Silva stepped into the ring to make the Option C relinquishment official, taking the X-Division title from Leon. Slater then laid out the world champion and stood tall over him with the TNA World Championship held high.
