Day one of the 2026 NFL Draft is in the books, and for all the talk about trades and wheeling and dealing… it mostly happened last in the first. But for the Seattle Seahawks? They stood firm, whether they wanted to or not.

Running back was seemingly an inevitable spot for the Seahawks to address in the draft, and they took their running back with their first-round pick. Notre Dame running back Jadarian Price was the selection, filling the void left by Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker. Price was not the main back, having played behind No. 3 overall pick Jeremiyah Love (who went to the Arizona Cardinals), but the combo of Love-Price was the best and most explosive backfield in the country.

For what it’s worth, the Seahawks tried trading down but it didn’t happen. The domino effect of several trades in front of them impacted their decision.
