What a finish! Corey Day prevails in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race at Talladega. He gets his first career win in the series and in NASCAR. It was a wild ride in the final few laps. Of course, the caution came out on the last lap to end things.
Hendrick Motorsports had Jason Kelcehelping on the pit crew for the No. 17 team. Kelce might have to travel with the team weekly now after this major win.

Sheldon Creed, Corey Day, Sam Mayer, and Jeb Burton were putting on a show there down the stretch. It felt like the energy was building and it was only a matter of time before something major happened. Something major did happen.
As the field began to fall apart and wreck behind the leaders, Day was out in front. NASCAR let one spin and slide go by without a caution, but had no choice but to throw it when multiple cars started to wreck.
A major first win for Day. Hendrick Motorsports sees him as a future star in the sport. If he starts to rack up the wins, he’s going to be on the fast track to the Cup Series.
