The Spaniard, under contract until 2027, has been one of Lazio’s standout performers this season, playing a key role in their run to the Coppa Italia final under Maurizio Sarri.

His consistent displays have sparked what is effectively a transfer battle, as per La Republic’s reports, with multiple top clubs in Italy and abroad monitoring his situation.

Atletico Madrid are also among the interested sides.

Napoli’s entry into the race adds further competition, particularly as they consider defensive reinforcements ahead of next season.

Lazio eye former Barcelona prospect Dominguez as Gila replacement

Juventus, meanwhile, are actively searching for a high-level centre-back, while both Inter and Milan have been tracking Gila for some time.

Aware of the growing interest, Lazio are already preparing for a potential departure. The Biancocelesti are targeting Sergi Dominguez, a 21-year-old defender currently at Dinamo Zagreb, as a possible replacement.

Gila is currently dealing with an ankle issue picked up against Atalanta and is expected to miss the upcoming league match against Udinese. However, Lazio are managing his condition carefully with a view to having him fit for the Coppa Italia final on May 13.

Meanwhile, Sarri’s own future remains uncertain despite a contract running until 2028, with several clubs reportedly interested in the Lazio coach after an impressive turnaround in results.
