Penta would defeat Ethan Page in what was a fantastic effort from “All Ego”, and the crowd in Fort Wayne went berserk at the title being retained. It was certainly a good decision, and Michael Cole said that he believes Ethen Page is a future Champion.
It isn’t hard to disagree with Michael Cole’s prediction. Anybody who watched Ethan Page in NXT knows that he is the type of superstar who looks normal with gold around his waist. While he made an impact as the NXT Champion, he was arguably far more impactful as the NXT North American Champion. Many even called him the greatest North American Champion of all time. He also dabbled in some AAA gold.
So the fact that he was in the Intercontinental Championship picture just one month into his main roster debut should tell you everything you need to know about the caliber of star that Ethan Page is and the caliber that he is going to be. It isn’t hard to imagine him winning gold in the near future.
