While we know what the Women’s World Champion is doing at SummerSlam, we don’t know who the World Heavyweight Champion, Roman Reigns, will be facing. Michael Cole announced that Roman Reigns will be returning on the RAW after Night of Champions 2026. You can most certainly be assured that this will kickstart his road to SummerSlam 2026.

Oba Femi may choose Roman Reigns. He did technically call him out in the post-show after WrestleMania 42. However, he could choose Cody Rhodes as well. One thing is for sure, and it’s that we have a month left until the biggest party of the summer in Minneapolis.

What’s interesting is that Roman Reigns’ opponent, CM Punk, has been absent since the RAW after WrestleMania 42. That is almost the entire period between WrestleMania and SummerSlam. One has to wonder if he is a potential opponent for The OTC at SummerSlam 2026, although there is also the question of what story they have left to tell.

Either way, it all hinges on the decision Oba Femi makes on RAW.
