Good news for Gian Piero Gasperini ahead of Saturday night’s big match at the Olimpico against Atalanta.

After the adductor injury he suffered at San Siro against Inter, Gianluca Mancini is already on the road to recovery and should return to action this weekend’s match against Atalanta.

As reported by Il Tempo, the Giallorossi number 23 has resumed (partially) training with the team and should be able to secure at least a call-up for the match on Saturday the 19th at 8:45 PM.

Wesley’s condition, however, remains to be seen: the Brazilian, like Mancini, is aiming to return against Atalanta, but his condition remains to be assessed.

Therefore, the starting three-man defense will be Mancini, Ndicka, and Hermoso.

Ghilardi remains a viable option, but if the former player were to fully recover, the Piedmontese coach would be unlikely to let him go.

Meanwhile, Manu Kone and Paulo Dybala continue to remain out of action.
