Luke Donald is back. And in 2027, he could make Ryder Cup history at Adare Manor.

On Wednesday, it was announced that Donald will again lead Team Europe in 2027 when the biennial showdown with the United States heads to Ireland and Adare Manor.
His captaincy debut came in 2023 in Rome, when Europe stormed out to a 4–0 lead in the opening session and never looked back, ultimately claiming a 16.5–11.5 victory. Two years later, Donald and his side accomplished what many believed was out of reach: a win on American soil. Team USA mounted a spirited charge on Sunday, but Europe had been in command from the outset.

“The last two Ryder Cups have meant a lot to me and my family,” Donald said in a statement. “I didn’t imagine this third time would come. Across the Atlantic, the PGA of America still awaits Tiger Woods’ decision about the U.S. captaincy.
Europe, meanwhile, has its man.
