Alex Bowman returned to the No. 48 car for Hendrick Motorsports at Bristol Motor Speedway but it didn’t go well. Bowman, who missed four races with vertigo, finished in last place after being involved in a wreck with Shane van Gisbergen and John Hunter Nemechek. So, how is the driver of the No. 48 car feeling after Bristol?
After NASCAR released Bowman from the infield care center, the Hendrick Motorsports confirmed that he is feeling physically fine, but frustrated with the result. The driver of the No. 48 car has competed in four NASCAR races during the 2026 season with a best finish of 23rd place at EchoPark Speedway. Bowman has three finishes of 36th place or worse.
