He also happened to be under Kevin Owens’ wing in WWE LFG (Legends and Future Greats). At the tailgate party, Owens gave his full endorsement to Tristan Angels, and when the crowd booed, he said that Angels was good, resuming his heel persona.

Of course, Angels would lose to Shiloh Hill in a fun match, but that’s another story altogether. This relationship that Owens has with Angels is due to their time in LFG, where the former Universal Champion accused the 23-year-old of ripping Hunter Hearst Helmsley (Triple H’s original character) off. However, he said that because it had been decades, it was ok for him to do that.

What’s actually funny is the fact that when Triple H was Hunter Hearst Helmsley, ,Angels wasn’t even born. Angels was born in the midst of the infamous “reign of terror”.
