John Cena took to Instagram recently to post a photo of Charlie Dempsey. As has been the norm with The Champ, the post had no caption.

William Regal responded to the WWE legend’s post

Posting a photo of Charlie Dempsey has certainly led to attention for the son of William Regal, for which Regal is thankful to John Cena.

Taking to X, Regal acknowledged the move by John Cena and spoke about him in a gracious manner. He also jokingly rebuked his son for making humorous expressions in photos.

“My wife’s just told me that John Cena has been kind enough to put a photo of my lad Charlie on SM. Unfortunately, Charlie has a daft sense of humour and thinks it’s funny to flatten his hair and pull gormless faces so he looks like he’s in a Super Tramp tribute band. I bollock him and he just giggles.”

You can check out his post on X below:

It should be noted that William Regal has put in a lot of effort to help his son’s career in the pro wrestling field. Regal was a part of the AEW roster for a short while in 2022, but later returned to the Stamford-based promotion and joined the NXT scene in a non-wrestling role. The veteran is currently the vice-president of Global Talent Development in WWE.

As of now, Charlie Dempsey has signicant time to move up to the main roster and make his mark. It remains to be seen what he does next in WWE.
