Andy Diouf and Davide Frattesi teamed up in the engine room last night as Inter Milan saw off Torino in an exciting Coppa Italia quarter-final showdown.

Despite excelling on the right wing, Andy Diouf returned to his natural position yesterday, replacing Piotr Zielinski in the middle of the park.

Furthermore, the 22-year-old capped off his eye-catching performance with a well-taken goal that eventually made all the difference.

In stark contrast to Diouf’s scintillating display, Davide Frattesi produced another underwhelming performance.

Bereft of confidence, the Italian midfielder failed to make the impact expected from a player of his caliber.

Indeed, he often gave away possession when he should’ve retained the ball.

Moreover, his passes lacked precision as he seemed to be running low on energy.

As such, Frattesi wasted a decent chance to prove his worth to Chivu ahead of Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu’s impending returns from injury.
