The veteran defeated Royce Keys last week on WWE SmackDown to become the number one contender. Cody Rhodes defeated Sami Zayn in the main event of this past Friday’s edition of the blue brand. Gunther claims he still wants to retire major WWE star

SmackDown star Gunther claimed that he still wanted to retire Brock Lesnar from in-ring competition.

Brock Lesnar lost to Oba Femi at WrestleMania and seemingly retired after the match. However, The Beast Incarnate has since returned on RAW and will be facing Femi once again next weekend at Clash in Italy.

In an interview with Italian Wrestling Channel on YouTube, the former champion suggested that he may still be able to retire Lesnar in the future.

“I wasn’t even there on that day at Mania, because it was the day after me, when a lot of it happened with Brock, so I only saw it in a headline and that’s literally all the info I had. Obviously he’s back now, but I haven’t thought about it. I’m really focused on what I’m doing with Cody now. I will be challenging for the WWE Undisputed Championship in Italy, and that’s my full focus right now. After I beat Cody then Brock can challenge me, and we’ll do that.”
