Former Women’s Champion open to WWE return after almost two years

While speaking with Laura Clery on IDIOT, Carmella admitted that she is unsure what the next step is for her.

I’m just not sure what the next step is for me, but I know I would regret being on the road and traveling while they are this young. That’s not to say that I would never go back to WWE, but I just don’t know if it would be any time in the near future or in a full-time capacity because I can’t imagine being away from my kids for that long.”

She reiterated that she wasn’t against a WWE return; instead, it seems that she is taking some time out to be with her kids, but a one-off cameo in The Royal Rumble would be much better for her.

Carmella’s husband, Corey Graves, travels with WWE on a regular basis, so any return for the former Women’s Champion would allow her to be on the road with her partner, but it seems that she wants to delay any wrestling return until her kids are older.

Carmella could be open to promotions outside of WWE

Carmella’s contract wasn’t renewed in February last year, but it seems that she is still happy to make the call to her former company when she is ready to return to the ring, but it’s unclear when that will be.

That being said, there are other promotions that would allow Carmella to wrestle and not have so much time on the road and away from her children, which seems to be her main issue at the moment.

The former Women’s Champion has a very young family at present and is basing many of the decisions for her future on whether on her children, whilst her husband continues to spend much of his time on the road.
