Some of the behavior we saw at Bethpage Black on Saturday was disgusting—what else do you expect from New York. Vulgar and disrespectful things were shouted all day long, especially in Rory McIlroy’s direction.
At one point he told the gallery to “shut the fuck up,” and his playing partner, Shane Lowry, told a fan “fuck you.”
The second day of the 45th Ryder Cup was a disaster.
And on Sunday, a video emerged of a fan throwing a beer at McIlroy and his wife, Erica, after he won his match.
Some of the fans who attended the Ryder Cup on Saturday should be embarrassed.
