AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio came out to help El Grande Americano when he was in a bad situation, facing Los Perros del Mal on AAA. The heel faction had demanded that Americano come out to the ring after ending the main event in a no contest by attacking both teams taking part. The star showed up, as they had threatened to beat down the teams even further if he didn’t, but the beatdown that followed saw him getting overwhelmed by the numbers game, before Dominik Mysterio ran down to the ring with a steel chair in hand in a shock moment.

Mysterio, who is usually a heel, didn’t hesitate to help Americano and forced Karmen Petrovic and her faction to retreat. He then challenged any two of their members to a tag team match, where he would team with Americano.

While the two are teaming, Mysterio was leaving the ring after that, but before he could do so, fans started to chant at them to “k*ss”. There had been some tension between the stars. The moment the chant started, Mysterio didn’t hesitate and grabbed Americano’s face before k*ssing his cheek, much to the delight of the fans.

While Liv Morgan has reacted to him saving Americano and had a positive response, she may feel differently if she sees the clip of the two stars getting more intimate than she was ready for.

The two are now set to face two members of Los Perros del Mal at Verano de Escándalo 2026.
