The 35-year-old will be teaming up with a mystery star tonight at Backlash to face The Miz and Kit Wilson in a tag team match. There have been some interesting rumors as of late regarding the identity of the mystery tag team partner tonight at Backlash.
Danhausen spent a few years in All Elite Wrestling but was barely used on TV by the promotion. He made his WWE debut at Elimination Chamber 2026 earlier this year in Chicago and has become a fan favorite. The veteran regularly appears on both RAW and SmackDown in backstage segments.
Major WWE star reveals Triple H shot down character change
Cody Rhodes shared that Triple H shot down the idea of him wearing an eye patch following his injury at WWE WrestleMania 42.
Randy Orton lost to The American Nightmare at The Show of Shows and punted him in the head following the match. Rhodes suffered an eye injury during the attack and revealed during an interview with ESPN that The King of Kings was totally against the idea of him wearing an eye patch.
“I’m going to do an eye patch thing.’ I thought that would be cool. Wrestlers are always looking for something—let’s get a new action figure out of it, eye patch Cody. Triple H told me absolutely not. And there might be a shot on Unreal of me throwing that eye patch down backstage, because I had it—I was ready to go,” said Rhodes. (H/T: Ringside News)
It will be fascinating to see if Danhausen and his mystery tag team partner can defeat Kit Wilson and The Miz tonight at WWE Backlash.
