Shortly after winning the NBA Rookie of the Year Award, former Duke alum and current Dallas Mavericks forward Cooper Flagg took his talents to Texas Motor Speedway, making his first appearance on the NASCAR circuit.
Flagg had the honor of driving the pace car in an action-packed Wurth 400.

Flagg’s time on the track produced memorable moments, as he was even given the bumper by Denny Hamlin, the No. 10 driver on NASCAR’s all-time wins list.
Flagg also took a lap with 19-year-old Connor Zilisch before the race, the youngest driver in the field.
With the 2026-27 season still months away, Flagg will have plenty of time to continue enjoying his first NBA offseason before preparing for his sophomore campaign.
