Punk took to social media earlier today to announce that he would be appearing at an NXT Live Event on August 15 in Virginia. Waller responded to Punk’s announcement with a video of himself demanding a microphone. You can check out Waller’s response in the post below.

Punk lost the World Heavyweight Championship to Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 42. The Second City Saint returned last month on RAW to defeat Sami Zayn to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion.

The former AEW star successfully defended the title against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2026. Randy Orton interfered in the match and hit The American Nightmare with an RKO out of nowhere.

Kevin Owens returned after over a year away due to a neck injury to compete in a number-one contender’s match during Night 2 of SummerSlam. Owens emerged victorious and will be challenging Punk for the title on the August 21 episode of SmackDown.

The Miz reacts to CM Punk’s promo following WWE SummerSlam

The Miz reacted to CM Punk’s promo about not being in the main event of SummerSlam 2026.

Punk went on a rant during the SummerSlam Post-Show earlier this month about not main eventing Night 1 of the PLE. In an interview with WrestleRant, The Miz claimed that the promo was the best version of Punk’s character.

“When I saw that promo (after SummerSlam), I was like ‘ooh I like this Punk’. I like a Punk that’s not the main event, that should be in the main event, that knows he deserves to be in the main event and deserves to be where he’s at, now he’s letting people know,” he said. (H/T: WrestleTalk on X)
