AI’s take: ChatGPT was quick to note it “can’t actually predict the future with certainty,” but its analysis concluded the Seahawks are the team to beat in Super Bowl 60. The chatbot cited Seattle having “stronger defensive metrics” than New England as its primary reason for backing the Seahawks.

Our take: ChatGPT’s brief analysis is sensible. The Seahawks ranked No. 2 in the NFL in defensive EPA per play during the 2025 season, per the NFL’s Next Gen Stats, and also sport a top-four pressure rate that could bother Drake Maye.
That said, the Patriots are allowing an average of just 8.7 points per game during the playoffs, so the chatbot’s 27-point projection for the Seahawks may be a tad optimistic.
Super Bowl MVP: QB Sam Darnold, Seattle Seahawks
AI’s take: Once again, ChatGPT looked at the Vegas odds to influence its selection. It noted Darnold is the odds-on MVP favorite and add that quarterbacks have “historically won the Super Bowl MVP award more often than any other position.”

That said, the chatbot also noted Jaxon Smith-Njigba is “a potential game changer” which give him a “plausible” path toward being MVP if Darnold doesn’t get the nod. Drake Maye was also mentioned as the most likely player to take home the award if the Patriots win it all.
Our take: There’s nothing surprising about ChatGPT’s Super Bowl MVP pick. Of the last 10 Super Bowl MVPs, seven have been quarterbacks, so Darnold is as sensible a choice for the award as any – especially considering that the chatbot picking the Seahawks to win Super Bowl 60.
ChatGPT’s selection of Darnold as Super Bowl MVP means that just one of the chatbots USA TODAY Sports tested picked a non-Darnold player to win the award. Google Gemini chose Smith-Njigba to become the ninth-ever receiver to win the award, and since Julian Edelman in Super Bowl 53.
