Chad Gable claimed to be the “Original” El Grande Americano on several occasions

WWE uploaded a promo featuring the “Original” El Grande Americano. He claimed to be a victim of identity theft, calling out El Grande Americano II in the process.

Americano (Gable) claimed that he saw El Grande Americano II impersonate a Mexican Luchador and added that the latter wasn’t even aware of the history of Lucha Libre. Gable concluded by calling Americano II a “fraud”.

“Hello! My name is El Grande Americano, a victim of identity theft. For the last six months, I’ve watched some guy running around impersonating a Mexican Luchador, singing songs in Spanish, going as far as to date a Mexican Woman. Only to try to convince all of you of being as authentic as me. This man doesn’t know the history of Lucha Libre. He’s a Fraud. He’s an Imposter. I wanted you all to know with my victory in the Rey De Reyes tournament, I will go on to win the sword, represent Lucha Libre, and become the new AAA Mega Champion. Viva Mexico! Viva Lucha Libre! And Viva El Grande Americano!”

Chad Gable is a member of American Made, a faction consisting of The Creed Brothers and Ivy Nile.
