Cam Ward isn’t happy with how the Tennessee Titans have started the season.
Honestly, after their 26-0 loss to the Houston Texans’ on Sunday afternoon, it’s hard to blame him.
“If we keeping it a buck right now, we ass,” Ward said. “We’re 0-4.”

Ward, who the Titans took with the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft earlier this year, went just 10-of-26 for 108 yards and an interception in the blowout loss at NRG Stadium on Sunday. The Titans had just 175 yards as a team, gave up 353 to the previously winless Texans, and didn’t reach the red zone once. Kicker Joey Slye missed both of his field goal attempts, too, which ensured that they’d be on the wrong end of a shutout for the first time since 2019.
C.J. Stroud went 22-of-28 for 233 yards with two touchdowns for the Texans. Woody Marks led them on the ground with 69 yards and a score on 17 carries, and Nico Collins had 79 yards on four catches. The Texans had dropped three straight close games to start the year, including a last-second loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers two weeks ago.

For the Titans, Sunday was just all-around bad — which is becoming a trend for the organization. They’ve now lost 10 straight games dating back to last season. Head coach Brian Callahan, now in his second season with the team, holds just a 3-18 record at the helm.
Ward, who finished in fourth in the Heisman Trophy voting race last season at Miami, has thrown for just 614 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in his four games with the Titans.
The Titans will take on the Arizona Cardinals next weekend, where they’ll try to avoid their first 0-5 start since the 2009 campaign. While their struggles are clearly bigger than a slow start from their rookie quarterback, Ward is only focused on one thing moving forward. He just wants to win.
“At this point, we’ve got nothing to lose,” he said. “We’ve dropped a quarter of our f***ing games, and we’ve yet to do anything. So we have to lock in.”
