Fred Ottman posted on his Instagram. He said that he was admitted to the hospital due to issues beyond his control. He said that he was taken to the emergency room and finally got admitted. His friend Matthew brought him in, and that helped him finally get admitted after an emergency health issue. He apologized to promoters, saying that he would not be able to make the show that was supposed to be at, and said that he would see what was happening with the doctors and get back to them.

The former WWE star said he loved everyone and asked them to keep him in his thoughts and prayers. He ended by saying that he hoped he’d be seeing everyone soon.

“Unfortunately, everybody, due to things beyond my control, I was put into the hospital here, and this evening I finally got admitted after I was taken to the emergency room. But I will not be able to be in Fort Myers. I want to apologize, and I’ll get together with the promoters and my friend Matthew that was bringing me in after I see what’s going on here with the doctors. But I love you all. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers, and hopefully I’ll be seeing you soon. Bye.”

Ottman, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2025 as part of the Natural Disasters, is also a former WWE Tag Team Champion alongside legendary star Earthquake. The star is also infamous for his disastrous debut as Shockmaster, tripping over a piece of wood on live TV.
