According to RingsideNews, the latest exit is former Evolve star Masyn Holiday. The report noted that the former star had now changed her Instagram back to her Darci Khan name, which has sparked the belief that she has also chosen to leave the company.
Initially, her name on Instagram was MaysnHolidayWWE, which was the name that the company gave to her when she signed with Evolve. She has since gotten rid of that and all aspects relating to WWE from her bio. It’s unclear if she asked for the release or the company chose not to renew her contract.
Holiday made her debut for the Evolve brand in March 2025 when she took on Brinley Reece in a losing effort. She has since been around the brand after coming through WWE’s Next In Line program in late 2023. She competed in track and field before making the move over to wrestling, but was unable to push her career to NXT level.
The company is yet to make a statement regarding her exit, but it seems that WWE stopped sharing updates on talent releases and exits a long time ago. It seems that Darci Khan will share the story of her exit from the company when she’s ready.
Many WWE contracts appear to expire around June and July
It’s unclear why, but over the years, there have been many contracts expiring around June or July, just as the company has gotten out of WrestleMania season and is heading into SummerSlam.
It could be that this is the time when they are able to negotiate new deals with Premium Live Events, not coming in thick and fast like in April and May, or just the chosen time for the company that makes sense.
