Gin Sevani is a very popular star and, for the most part, has been very consistent throughout her career. She has wrestled in Ring of Honor, among other top promotions, and is quite well-loved in the indie scene. However, she had some bad news to share with her fans.

She revealed that while she took a lot of pride in her work, she was someone who had never taken a break and had ended up pushing her body to the limit, resulting in a few injuries that she had been dealing with. She was not even able to make a tight fist for years due to breaking her finger.

“Over the past few months, I’ve been struggling to find the right words. I take a lot of pride in my work and being a professional wrestler. The idea of stepping back for a few weeks/months terrifies me. In my 5 years of being a professional wrestler, I have not once taken a complete break. As many of you know, and go through it yourselves, we tend to push our bodies to its absolute limit for the love of this sport. I’ve been dealing with a few injuries, starting with the lack of mobility in my hand due to breaking my finger. I haven’t been able to make a tight fist in years and my grip strength is severely impacted by it. It affects not only wrestling but my everyday life.”

The star went on to say that her right knee was also giving her issues and that she was not getting better. So she was stepping away from the ring to focus on herself and healing from the injuries. She added that she would be back before the end of the year.

“My right knee has given me more issues than I can explain. I’m currently working on finding out the reason as to why. The pain varies from mild to unbearable, especially after strenuous exercise or wrestling. I just know doing the same things over and over will not make it better. With that being said, I’m going to take the next few months to focus on physical therapy and overall bettering myself both physically and mentally so I can come back to wrestling a better version of myself. I love wrestling more than anything. I will be back before the year ends. I’m hopeful these next few months will provide the clarity and healing that I need.”

Sportskeeda sends its best wishes to the star for a speedy recovery.
