The Los Angeles Chargers knew they needed to revamp their offensive line depth during the 2026 NFL Draft.
The Chargers were able to do that by selecting Logan Taylor and Alex Harkey in the sixth round. Hoping that at least one of them will stick as one of the key members of the second unit of the offensive line, and possibly someone that can step into the starting lineup. ESPN insider Matt Miller had a higher grade for Taylor than where he ended up in the draft.

“The Chargers double-dipped at guard in Round 6, picking up Taylor and Alex Harkey within four picks of each other. Taylor’s value was just slightly better as the No. 134 player on my board. Picking up a versatile lineman who started 25 games at left tackle, 11 at left guard, eight at right guard and two at right tackle late on Day 3 is how you secure valuable depth,“ Miller wrote.
Taylor’s experience in multiple positions on the offensive line is exactly what a team should be looking for. The Chargers get someone that can play multiple positions, but will also have to compete for playing time. The Chargers are building competition for the offensive line depth this offseason, and that should shake things up for Los Angeles. It should help them get the right players to earn a spot on the 53-man roster for the season.
