On a recent episode of NXT, a fan started calling out Grayson Waller, telling him that he was going to get taken down. Waller responded by asking who could defeat him, tearing into Saquon Shugars after a retort.

“I can smell the diabetes on you, big fella. Calm down, okay? Who’s gonna beat me? Who’s gonna beat me? (Saquon Shugars) He was gas. He was so tired that match. I don’t get tired. He’s like 130 pounds. You don’t have any followers because no one’s watching this.”

Grayson Waller claimed that Shawn Michaels brought him to WWE NXT

According to Grayson Waller, the NXT scene desperately needed his presence.

Speaking on Busted Open, the WWE star stated that Shawn Michaels had called him to ask him to return to NXT. He said:

“I’ll give you this, Bully [Ray]. I didn’t get sent back to NXT. There’s a narrative online that Grayson Waller got demoted. ‘Oh, I have to be on national television every Tuesday; that’s so tough,’ but there is a narrative online that I got demoted. That is not true. There was a phone call from someone who asked to meet with me. I spoke with him. This is a person I respect more than anyone. His opinion means more than anyone. He asked me to come back to NXT. He asked me because the men’s division wasn’t ready. He didn’t have anyone. No one was causing havoc. Everyone wanted the title; no one needed it,” Waller said.

As of now, Grayson Waller looks to be in top form as the NXT champion. It remains to be seen what is next for him in WWE.
