While Avery Styles has only just debuted on TNA, he has not had his first match yet, and if his new mentor gets a say, he may have to wait a long time before he wrestles. Frankie Kazarian immediately cozied up to Styles after his debut. Having been a long-time friend and rival of AJ Styles in the past, the star has taken it upon himself to mentor his son, whether the young star likes what he has to say or not.

Tonight on TNA, AJ Francis defeated Brent Oakley, a YouTuber who has been wrestling recently. He then called himself the greatest AJ to wrestle in a TNA ring and put himself forward as Avery’s first opponent, calling him out. General Manager Santino Marella stepped out and said that he liked the idea and offered the young Avery Styles his first match.

Avery was all for it as well and said he was ready to step into the ring. Before he could head there, though, Frankie Kazarian, who forced himself into the role of mentor for the young Styles at Lockdown, appeared and declined the match. He then took the youngster backstage. Although Avery looked reluctant and unhappy about it, he listened to what Kazarian was saying.

Whoever Avery Styles first faces in the ring, it will be a massive moment for the young star. For Dominik Mysterio, it was Seth Rollins at SummerSlam in a huge match. The star now considers Rollins someone he wants to face at WrestleMania.
