Bayley lost to Lyra Valkyria in a grudge match at Madison Square Garden. Valkyria brutally attacked the former Hugger following the contest. Dave Meltzer later reported that the beatdown angle might have been booked to write the veteran off TV.

Sol Ruca has gone from strength to strength on RAW in Bayley’s absence. Despite losing the Women’s Intercontinental Championship to Raquel Rodriguez last month, she remains in the title picture. Ruca recently uploaded some photos of herself on Instagram. Bayley reacted to the upstart’s post, asking if she missed her.

“Do u miss me or nah?” Bayley commented on Ruca’s post.

Ruca responded to The Role Model’s comment, writing that she hadn’t fired up in ages.

“@itsmebayley duh I haven’t fired up in ages :'(.”

WWE Reportedly Believes Bayley Will Re-sign

In recent weeks, there have been contrary reports about Bayley’s pro wrestling future. Amid her absence from the company’s programming, The Role Model has been highly active on social media. Last month, she even competed at two house shows.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that WWE believed the Grand Slam Champion would ink a new deal rather than join AEW. The RAW Superstar has been repeatedly mentioned on TV during her hiatus, solidifying rumors of her comeback.

The Role Model has lost countless high-stakes matches in recent years. Despite being a veteran and locker room leader, she has arguably been booked as a mid-card wrestler. Hence, many fans are unhappy with her position on the roster. It will be interesting to see if she can reach main event status if she returns to a WWE ring.
