The 37-year-old took to Instagram following the loss and shared a cryptic post of herself sitting alone after SNME. She also shared some photos of her battle wounds from the bout, and you can check them out in the Instagram post.

AJ Lee reacted to the former champion’s post and noted that she had only been gone for a bit, and everything had fallen apart for The Hugger.

“I’m gone for five f***ing minutes,” she wrote.

Lyra Valkyria betrayed Bayley last month on WWE RAW after the duo failed to capture the Women’s Tag Team Championships. Fatal Influence’s Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid defeated Brie Bella and Paige at Saturday Night’s Main Event to capture the titles.

AJ comments on her new WWE contract

AJ Lee discussed her contract with the company amid her hiatus. The popular star has not competed in a match since losing the Women’s Intercontinental Championship to Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 42.

Speaking on The Nikki & Brie Show at Fanatics Fest, The Geek Goddess shared that she always wanted the women to be paid like the men in WWE. Lee noted that she was now being similar to her husband, CM Punk, and admitted it was an awesome moment for her.

“One of the things I fought for back in the day wasn’t just for equal footing. It was let’s get paid the way the men get paid. To know I’m signing this contract where I am getting paid the way my husband’s getting paid, where I’m being treated like an equal, it was a boss-ass moment, I’m not gonna lie,” she revealed.

Only time will tell when AJ Lee will make her return to WWE television.
