TC of WrestleVotes speculated that this could present a good opportunity for the promotion to bring back Lee as a surprise at the PLE next month to compete in the ladder match.

“This is a good opportunity for WWE to open that door for her to come back for a match she wasn’t slated for. She doesn’t have to be on SmackDown or doesn’t even have to win. It’s like, ‘Hey, you’re available, and you can fill a role in this match that elevates the match and provides a surprise. Lee has been married to Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk since 2014. The Second City Saint is scheduled to defend the title against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam next month.

AJ Lee praises Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk

AJ Lee recently complimented her husband and suggested that CM Punk was in the best shape of his life.

Speaking on the State of Mind podcast, The Geek Goddess praised Punk’s match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania and noted that she was impressed with how much he pushed himself.

“He’s in like the best shape of his life right now and was just champion for like most of the year. And had, I mean, I am his wife, so I am a little like biased, but like objectively one of the greatest WrestleMania matches of all time this year, a few months ago. I’m just so impressed with how he is able to push himself and just be the best athlete he can be. He reaches for the moon every time,” said Lee.

It will be fascinating to see when the 39-year-old decides to return to WWE.
