“It was Monday and my manager, he was like ‘Oh we’ve got stuff Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and then we have Mania on Saturday. I didn’t have any time to get in the ring. We did have rehearsals but it was like I was just coming in at the end of the match. Fatal Influence’s Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid battled the former AEW star and Brie Bella for the Women’s Tag Team Championships at Saturday Night’s Main Event over the weekend. Jacy Jayne got involved and helped Fatal Influence capture the titles. Nikki Bella was supposed to compete alongside Brie Bella at WWE WrestleMania but has been out of action for several months due to an ankle injury.

Nikki Bella shared how Paige’s return at WWE WrestleMania 42 came to be following her ankle injury.

Speaking on the WrestleMania 42 Post-Show, Bella shared that she knew she was not going to be able to compete on The Grandest Stage of Them All, and The Anti-Diva made the most sense as her replacement.

“When I’m headed into Birmingham to get surgery, guess who was in Birmingham? Brie and I literally on the phone, I was like, there is no way I’m gonna make WrestleMania, but like you still have to have your moment. Both at the same time are like the only person who will still make it feel special and like family is Saraya, it’s Paige,” Nikki Bella said.

It will be interesting to see when Nikki Bella will be able to return to the ring on WWE TV.
