Following this, The Game and Stephanie McMahon were frustrated with the booking, and the King of Kings had no interest in teaming with Trish. As a result, he left the arena, leaving Stratus without a partner.

The legendary female star confronted Mick Foley backstage and wanted her mixed tag team match to be canceled. She started flirting with the Commissioner, but the move backfired.

Foley assigned Chris Benoit as her substitute partner and claimed that Stratus was forcing her se*uality on him, calling it harassment. Mick also said that he would sue Trish Stratus for se*ual harassment if she didn’t wrestle in the tag team match.

“What would you like to talk about? Maybe se*ual harassment, Trish? Now, I’m getting tired of you coming in and forcing your se*uality on me, harassing me, if you will. You see, I was going to give you the night off, but I’m not gonna do that now. Yeah Triple H has left the building, so I’m going to assign you a substitute partner, like Chris Benoit. So you have two Trishy Wishy. Either you get out in that ring and you wrestle your little bu*t off, or I’m going to sue you for se*ual harassment. Because after all, I feel so, so violated, so, so cheap, so, so used. So get out there and wrestle, Trish, because that’s my ruling, and it’s final”. – Foley said

Will Trish Stratus return to WWE?

In a March 2026 interview with Sports Illustrated, Trish Stratus discussed a possible WWE comeback. The veteran star said that she is ready to make a WWE comeback, but only if it makes sense from a storyline perspective.

Stratus said that the WWE landscape would need to make sense before she steps into the squared circle again.

“I need to see the landscape,” Trish said. “I’m very story storyline driven. And for me, is it gonna be interesting for the fans? Is it something they wanna see? Is it gonna elevate someone? And of course, there’s like the storyline behind it. I love the story, I wanna make sure it makes sense and I wanna make sure the landscape makes sense for me to enter into.”

Still, it will be interesting to see how the storyline unfolds and whether Trish steps back into in-ring competition.
