But a spree of releases saw all of them exit the company on April 24. Dexter Lumis, who returned to WWE in 2022, was among the stars released, ending his four-year stint with the Stamford-based promotion. Lumis had won tag team gold with Joe Gacy as part of the Wyatt Sicks.

On X, former WWE Women’s Champion Gail Kim posted a message following the releases and noted how there is no “heart” in wrestling anymore.

“Feels like the heart of wrestling has been gone for a while now. I get it’s a business, but across the board feels so corporate, and there’s no heart anymore. Been like this for a while… 💔” she wrote.

Lumis responded to this, offering a brief but telling message.

“Let’s fix it,” he simply wrote.

This could also be an indication that Dexter Lumis has something planned for what he will do next in pro wrestling now that his journey with the sports entertainment giant has come to an end. The 42-year-old star first joined the company in 2019 and competed on the NXT brand.

He became a part of The Way faction, which included Austin Theory, Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, and Indi Hartwell. Lumis was let go in 2022, before making a return later that year.

Wyatt Sicks members have broken their silence on WWE exit

Dexter Lumis isn’t the only Wyatt Sicks member to break his silence after being released by WWE.

Nikki Cross made a heartfelt post on Instagram, confirming her exit. She shared photos of her journey in the promotion and thanked everyone for helping her.

Lumis’ tag team partner, Joe Gacy, shared a photo of himself on Instagram and wrote, “90 days,” likely hinting at the 90-day no-compete clause.
