Tony Khan buying WWE is very possible, says Ric Flair

While at one point in time, no one ever expected Vince McMahon to sell his company, that has come to pass, and it is now owned by TKO. In fact, when the purchase was taking place, none other than Tony Khan had the opportunity to launch a bid as well, and did so, despite not getting access to financial records and other things other bidders had, as he was a competitor. His bid failed, but Ric Flair, in his interview with Ariel Helwani, has spoken up about how Khan can buy the company.

He said that he was one of the greatest people that Flair had ever met and that the Khan family had a tremendous amount of money. This meant that the $9 Billion price listed for the company would not be a barrier for the Khan family to make the purchase, and that he would not be surprised if it happened one day.

Ric Flair went on to say that Khan paid the people in his company well and offered them good opportunities, making sure that the fans were happy as well.

“Tony Khan is one of the greatest people I’ve ever met in my life. And you know what, I wouldn’t be surprised, because he has the money to do it, if he buys the WWE one day. The Khan Family has more money than God. That nine billion price on WWE is nothing to Shahid Khan. Tony has provided opportunities for guys who would never get a chance to work anywhere else. WWE is a very difficult, very selective organization. Tony has offered all these opportunities, and he pays the guys good. All he cares about is making a product and making sure people are happy. He’s a very personable guy.”

Currently, it’s not known if Flair’s prediction will come true very soon, but given that Khan has shown an inclination to purchase the company, it might not be too far in the future before he makes another attempt.
