Seth Rollins battles Talla Tonga, Je’Von Evans, and Ricky Saints. The final pairing pits Finn Balor, who must be a member of SmackDown now, against Jey Uso, LA Knight, and Royce Keys.

IYO SKY defeated Roxanne Perez, Giulia, and Lash Legend in her first-round match. Liv Morgan, Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss, and Chelsea Green will compete on next week’s RAW. Lyra Valkyria, Sol Ruca, Charlotte Flair, and Jade Cargill battle each other.

Bayley, Raquel Rodriguez, Kiana James, and Jacy Jayne make up the final four-way. Some names stick out for the wrong reasons. The next six WWE stars should not be in the King and Queen of the Ring Tournaments.

#6. Damian Priest is a WWE Tag Team Champion

The same could be said for Bron Breakker, but he was thrust into his spot due to an injury to Logan Paul. Breakker’s participation is fine, but Priest has been bumbling around as a WWE Tag Team Champion with R-Truth.

Someone like Rey Fenix, Ilja Dragunov, or even Joe Hendry could have taken his spot instead. Je’Von Evans and Ricky Saints are in it, so why isn’t Hendry?

Priest already has his own issues with the MFTs and Royce Keys in an angle on SmackDown. He’s also not a favorite to win and has already held a major title.

#5. Trick Williams should focus on the United States Championship

The United States Title picture was finally starting to get some normal attention instead of nonsense from Trick Williams. Saints and Hayes have issues with each other, and both are in the King of the Ring.

Hayes already lost his first-round match. Anyone who currently holds a title shouldn’t be in the tournament. That goes double for a belt that desperately needs spotlight in contests instead of funerals for costumed individuals.

Williams should be focusing on his title instead. If he were still being presented as a heel, going for more gold would at least make some sense. Since officials are obsessed with him at the moment, rehabilitating the title should be their priority.

#4. Sol Ruca has been on the main roster for less than two months

The trend continues with Sol Ruca. By winning the Women’s Intercontinental Title, she should have been excluded from the tournament. She already has a match with Lyra Valkyria next week, and the two are in the same bracket match.

That likely means two losses for Valkyria. Maxxine Dupri even took issue with Adam Pearce on RAW for not considering her. His rationale was baseless, especially since she won the title and beat Lynch before Sol did.

Tiffany Stratton, the Women’s United States Champion, wasn’t included in the Queen of the Ring. Either both champions should be in it, or neither should.

#3. Penta already has a title

Penta has been a fighting champion ever since winning the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 42. He fell in the first fatal four-way match of the tournament.

Even before he was included, WWE officials should have considered using different stars. Hendry isn’t doing anything. JD McDonagh could have been involved. Why not piggyback off the success of El Grande Americano by putting him in the tournament?

The bracket was released after he won his mask vs. mask match against Chad Gable. Otis is always a fan favorite. Give Montez Ford a spot with Angelo Dawkins not medically cleared (in storyline).

#2. Jade Cargill won in 2025

Jade Cargill has lost to Rhea Ripley twice when the WWE Women’s Title was on the line. That means she’s the last person to have an opportunity to win a major title.

It’s true she’s the defending Queen of the Ring, and had she not faced Ripley this past weekend, her involvement would be warranted. Putting her with Flair is to continue their rivalry.

Since she’s been at the forefront of the title picture for eight months, someone else should get the chance in the tournament. WWE officials aren’t using Jordynne Grace on SmackDown.

Blake Monroe’s in-ring debut could have been saved for the first round. Nia Jax has already had more title shots than anyone should, but even she could have that spot.

#1. A current World Champion shouldn’t be in King or Queen of the Ring

Perhaps the most shocking and head-scratching star who is in the Queen of the Ring Tournament is Liv Morgan. She’s the current Women’s World Champion on RAW and hasn’t defended the title once since winning it on April 18th at WrestleMania 42.

It’s now June. Morgan bragged that she’s taking part to prove she’s the greatest champion of all time. Defeating women coming for her title would be more than sufficient to prove her point.

Including her also conflicts with the title opportunity at SummerSlam. Since WWE changed things this year, she could challenge Ripley while holding the Women’s World Championship.

WWE’s roster is deep enough that Morgan shouldn’t be in the tournament. Her spot could have been a wild-card, leading to Stephanie Vaquer or Asuka’s return to RAW. Someone from NXT could have debuted in the tournament.
