Some of these returns are believable and likely. Meanwhile, others would be so shocking that they could cause a huge buzz across the wrestling community if they actually occurred.

That said, in this article, we look at four returning WWE Superstars who could help Seth Rollins fight back against The Vision.

#4. Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman could be one of the most destructive allies Seth Rollins can find right now. The Monster Among Men has a history with factions trying to overwhelm opponents through sheer numbers.

Over the years, Strowman has battled dominant groups ranging from The Shield to The Bloodline, and his presence alone could change the balance of power.

The veteran has been focusing on his television hosting career and other outside ventures following his release by the company in May 2025. However, there is a strong possibility that the company could bring him back and have him join forces with Seth Rollins against The Vision.

What makes Braun Strowman an interesting choice is that The Vision currently lacks a true powerhouse outside of Bron Breakker. Bronson Reed is currently on the shelf due to injury. Hence, the faction is left vulnerable whenever Breakker is absent. A returning Strowman could take advantage of that instantly.

Imagine Rollins getting beaten down on RAW before Strowman’s music hits. The arena would erupt as the former Universal Champion storms the ring and clears the house. It would also create several fresh matchups, especially against Breakker, whose explosive intensity likely mirrors a younger version of Strowman himself.

#3. Dean Ambrose

A reunion between Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose would instantly become one of the biggest moments in modern WWE history. However, realistically, it probably won’t happen. Still, the idea of such a storyline is very tempting to imagine because of its huge potential.

Ambrose and Rollins share one of WWE’s deepest histories as former members of The Shield alongside Roman Reigns. Over the years, they fought together, betrayed each other, reunited, and repeatedly saved one another from overwhelming odds.

Now, with Seth Rollins being targeted by The Vision, WWE could easily reference that history. Dean Ambrose was always the unpredictable equalizer during Shield storylines.

The main challenge is that Ambrose, now widely known as Jon Moxley, remains closely linked to AEW. Unless WWE and AEW reach an extraordinary agreement, something that hasn’t happened before, fans should not anticipate his return to WWE anytime soon.

From a fantasy-booking point of view, few moments would be as impactful as Ambrose suddenly emerging from the crowd to rescue Rollins from a brutal three-on-one attack. Such a surprise would generate huge excitement online.

Even though it’s unlikely, WWE understands that nostalgia is powerful. Arguably, the bond between The Shield members will always be one of the company’s most compelling emotional storylines.

#2. Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin may actually be one of the most logical names to side with Seth Rollins. Recent rumors about Corbin potentially returning to WWE have continued circulating online, and creatively, this feud gives him an immediate purpose.

Baron Corbin already has an extensive history with both Rollins and former Shield members, dating back several years. More importantly, Corbin seemingly fits the current WWE environment perfectly.

Since Triple H gained more control over creative decisions, WWE has focused on stories about characters finding redemption and developing more complex personalities. The former Lone Wolf has reinvented himself several times before leaving TV. Hence, coming back to help Seth Rollins could actually be a very effective and surprising storyline.

Unlike many returning stars, Baron Corbin would not overshadow Rollins. Instead, he could serve as a believable enforcer who hates The Vision’s arrogance just as much as Seth does. Also, his size would give The Visionary something he currently lacks against Bron Breakker.

There is another important detail too: Corbin knows what it feels like to be rejected and discarded. The Vision turning on Rollins perhaps mirrors many of Corbin’s own career setbacks. WWE could easily build a story around two veterans seeking revenge against a younger generation trying to erase them.

The former Lone Wolf’s return would probably not create the loudest reaction on this list, but from a storytelling standpoint, it may be the cleanest fit.

#1. Matt Riddle could return to WWE and join forces with Seth Rollins

Matt Riddle could be the wildcard return that completely changes the balance against The Vision.

Although his WWE departure created controversy, fans still remember how naturally Riddle connected with audiences during his original run. More importantly, he already has a strong history with Seth Rollins dating back to their intense rivalry several years ago.

Ironically, that history is exactly why this alliance could work. WWE loves pairing former enemies together when larger threats emerge, and The Vision has become dangerous enough to force unlikely partnerships. Riddle’s unpredictable personality would also create an interesting contrast with Rollins’ increasingly serious and desperate demeanor.

From a wrestling standpoint, Matt Riddle is a great fit for the feud. His MMA-style fighting could complement Bron Breakker’s powerful and explosive moves, creating an exciting matchup. Additionally, Riddle’s unpredictable and energetic style could help counter Logan Paul’s attempts to take control and shift the momentum during matches.

There is also the crowd factor. If Riddle returns unexpectedly to save Rollins during a major RAW main event segment, the reaction would likely be enormous. WWE has recently shown willingness to revisit previously released talent under Triple H’s leadership, especially if there is a strong creative direction attached.

Arguably, The Vision storyline gives Riddle exactly that opportunity. A returning Matt Riddle joining forces with Seth Rollins may sound unexpected on paper. However, in today’s WWE era, unexpected alliances often create the most entertaining television.
